Music Therapy Services

At our practice, we specialise in delivering client-centered care through meticulously organised, high-quality support services tailored for home visits, community visits, individual sessions, telehealth, and group settings. Our commitment is to provide therapy support that meets the unique needs of NDIS participants in the Gold Coast and Logan areas, whether they are self-managed or plan-managed.

Understanding the purpose and benefits of engaging in any form of therapy, as outlined in an NDIS plan, is crucial for participants and their guardians. This ensures that therapy sessions are organized efficiently and align with the participant’s goals. Such information can be obtained through consultations with their NDIS case manager and/or support coordinator.

Music Therapy Service Flowchart

The flowchart below outlines the process we follow to deliver music therapy services to NDIS participants. Each stage is designed to ensure a seamless and effective therapy experience.

  • Initial Contact:
    • We acknowledge receipt of the initial inquiry and provide a timeline for further communication.
    • During this stage, we gather all relevant details, such as the participant’s medical history and NDIS goals. Based on this information, we will generate a personalised therapeutic plan and service agreement tailored to support the participant in achieving their objectives.
  • Assessment and Planning:
    • The assessment process would be required by the participant’s family or support coordinator for gaining a holistic understanding of the participant’s needs.
    • A personalised music therapy plan is developed, detailing session frequency, duration, and cost.
    • The terms of the service agreement are clearly communicated, and it must be signed before sessions commence.
  • Implementation:
    • Regular communication channels are established with the support coordinator or family to discuss progress between formal reviews.
    • The therapy plan is adapted as needed based on ongoing feedback and the participant’s progress.
  • Progress and Review:
    • Specific, measurable goals are set during each review to effectively track the participant’s progress.
    • We utilise tools and assessment forms to consistently monitor and document development.
  • Continuation or Conclusion:
    • Clear communication is provided to the participant or support coordinator regarding the decision to continue or conclude therapy.
    • A standard “2 Weeks’ Notice” period is offered before finalising any changes to the service plan.
    • Next steps are discussed, whether continuing therapy, exploring other services, or concluding care.
  • Follow-Up Communication (Post-Therapy):
    • After therapy concludes, a follow-up check-in is conducted to assess the participant’s long-term outcomes.
    • Additional support or referrals are offered if needed, based on the participant’s ongoing requirements.
